My client is looking to recruit a teacher with experience in teaching years 4 and/or 5 KS2.
The client is a tutoring company that works with children that are looking to sit an 11 plus style exam. The successful applicant will be fully supported and will have an assistant for every lesson.
Lessons take place on Saturdays between the hours of 10am to 2pm. Class sizes are small and it is anticipated to teach 3 x 1 hour lessons per day. This role would suit anyone with spare capacity on Saturdays, and is looking to do something a little different, and earn some extra money. All administration and is taken care of by the business, and so there would be no homework for you to mark.
Responsibilities:
- Provide small group tutoring sessions to students in KS2 maths and English
- Assess students learning needs and develop customised lesson plans
- Help students improve their academic performance and achieve their educational goals
- Utilise effective teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
Experience:
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter being tutored
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles of individual students
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed
